June 5--Andre Lacroix

Andre Lacroix


Lacroix began his pro career with the AHL's Quebec Aces and became the property of the expansion Philadelphia Flyers when the minor pro club was purchased in May 1967.

Andre Lacroix was a dangerous offensive player who enjoyed six solid years in the NHL. His most noteworthy scoring feats took place in junior and the WHA.




  • 79 goals and 119 assists for 198 points in 325 games in the NHL.







  • 251 goals and 547 assists for 798 points in 551 games in the WHA.





  • The WHA's all-time leader in games played, assists and points .

     Lacroix has been involved with hockey since retiring, creating the AndrĂ© Lacroix Power Hockey Academy and was the Director of hockey programs at the Oakland Ice Centre until 2005.
