Maybe Goon would be a good candidate for a reality type show. Now, during the lockout, it could feature what this type of player does during time away from the game. Lets take Edmonton Oiler Ben Eager for example.

 

 

What has Mr. Eager been up to? The same, only different.

 

Edmonton Oiler Ben Eager faces upgraded charges from Toronto bar fight

TORONTO - An Edmonton Oilers tough guy faces upgraded charges for his alleged role in a bar fight last weekend, Toronto Police said Friday.

Ben Eager, 28, and his brother Michael Eager, 31, were originally charged after Toronto Police were called to the Quail and Firkin pub, at 1055 Yonge St., Oct. 20 around 1 a.m.

The brothers were originally charged with threatening bodily harm, assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon and then released, police said.

But police laid an additional assault charge against both men on Friday and the assault causing bodily harm charges have been upgraded to aggravated assault.

A uniformed security guard suffered some bruises in the incident and was treated in hospital.

Ben Eager, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound Ottawa native, played junior with the Oshawa Generals and has played in the NHL since the 2004-05 season with stops in Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta and San Jose.

He spent last season with the Oilers, scoring eight goals and five assists with 107 penalty minutes in 63 games.

Both men are scheduled to appear in a College Park courtroom on Nov. 26.
