Hockey Night in Canada:Your Pick

Canada's favourite broadcaster, the CBC, put five classic games (memorable games from any era, including regular-season and playoffs, all-star games, and international match-ups) on its website and asked fans and viewers to vote on what they would like to watch on Saturday night. The first week’s voting is closed, with now the only suspense being the winner, and week two’s games are now up for your choosing. Over 80,000 people voted the first week.

Saturday Oct, 13th's game will be one of the following.
May 10, 1979 Boston vs Montreal
Oct 8, 1992 Montreal vs Ottawa
May 1, 1993 Toronto vs Detroit
May 25, 1994 NY Rangers vs New Jersey
Dec 27, 2000 Toronto vs Pittsburgh

“We’re making lemonade out of lemons,” says Kirstine Stewart, head of CBC English-language services. “You can throw up classic hockey games without giving people the opportunity to choose, but I think what makes this special is allowing people through social media to make their choices known.”

The suspense is killing me. Which game will be the Chosen One? Will I be waiting for 20:00 to see?
Toronto’s 2012-13 roster consists of goaltenders Mark Owuya, Jussi Rynnas and Ben Scrivens; defencemen Jesse Blacker, Mark Fraser, Jake Gardiner, Simon Gysbers, Korbinian Holzer, Mike Kostka, Paul Ranger and Dylan Yeo; and forwards Spencer Abbott, Will Acton, Carter Ashton, Keith Aucoin, Joe Colborne, Jerry D’Amigo, Nicolas Deschamps, Jamie Devane, Ryan Hamilton, Nazem Kadri, Leo Komarov, Greg McKegg, Brad Ross, Kenny Ryan, Greg Scott, Mike Zigomanis.

More than 100 hockey treasures will be auctioned off during a month-long sale beginning Thursday Oct 11th. The owner of the memorabilia, electronics mogul Sherman Cunninghamm, has decided to sell them.
Many of the early inquiries have been about the locker-room toilet. It originally sold for $4,000 but the bidding will start at $250 this time around. Already at $1200.00
Little too rich for my blood.
More clues for the Who am I contest.
He was ROY in his first year of professional hockey.
He was selected in the second round of the amateur draft.
He played in three different professional leagues.
Bonne chance.
